Ariela Stern from
Whistler, BC Canada
visiting from
30 January - 29 February 2024
During her stay in Switzerland, Ariela Stern visited us again in our dojo to train with us. As was the case last year, we had a lot of fun having her at our training sessions and observing and discussing some of the small differences. We had very informative and interesting conversations that showed us different learning and execution practices.
Unfortunately, I became ill before the Basel Carnival (February 19-21, 2024) and was unable to work at Ari-Käller like every year.
I had previously invited Ariela and her husband to come over and so I was very pleased that they visited the Ari-Käller even though I wasn't there.
Thank you very much!
We wish Ariela and her husband all the best and are already looking forward to the next visit to our dojo!!!
Ariela Stern from
Whistler, BC Canada
visiting from
30 January - 29 February 2024
In the photo we see some Uechi-Ryu karateka from the Tues. Thurs. group with Ariela Stern, who trained with us from January 31st to February 21st, 2023.
Ariela is from Whistler, BC Canada, currently holds the 3rd Dan in Uechi-Ryu Karate and had asked me via email whether it would be possible for her to train with us.
It was a lot of fun to train with her and to see that there are some small differences, which we looked at and discussed in detail. The conversations were very interesting and educational and gave a little insight into a different learning process.
Unfortunately we were unable to take a photo with the Monday and Friday karateka group because Ariela became ill.
Both groups found the time with Ariela super interesting and very nice; she immediately felt like she was part of the group!
We wish Ariela all the best and she is always welcome to visit us when she comes to Switzerland again!
